This position will focus primarily on IT Service Desk and will involve in IT projects in order to the IT team to focus on higher-priority projects and critical issues, enhancing our department's efficiency and effectiveness.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Level 1 user support ZenDesk Tickets – Follow-ups Desktop/Laptop setups Mobile Phone setups Cyber Security Training Campaign – Co-ordination with all stakeholders

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Knowledge in poultry and meat processing is preferred.  Must be enrolled in a related program in an accredited post-secondary institution.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Position is primarily office-based working conditions, with ability to go on the plant floor depending on work assignments.; Work hours: Maximum - 40 hours/week – Day shift Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm or 9:00am – 5:30pm. Office-Based Role with Plant Visits: The co-op student will primarily be stationed in the office environment but may be required to visit the plants as needed for hands-on support and project engagement. Remote Site Visits (Optional): While there will be opportunities to visit remote sites, this aspect of the role is optional and contingent upon the student’s transportation capabilities. Collaborative IT Setting: The co-op student will work in a team-oriented setting that emphasizes collaboration with other IT professionals to address departmental needs and user support requests. Dynamic Support Landscape: The student will encounter a diverse range of IT challenges, offering a broad exposure to various tech support scenarios, from hardware troubleshooting to software assistance including cyber security and AI, fostering a comprehensive learning experience.
