About the Position
This is a hybrid position for one of the top 20 accounting firms in Canada.

Summary of Responsibilites
Independent completion of small audit, review and compilation files and related tax preparationOn larger engagements, beginning to prepare more complex areas of the file Draft corporate tax returns and prepare appropriate tax checklistsPrepare personal tax returns including gathering, sorting and entering client information into TaxPrepBuilds effective working relationships in assignments with operational client contactsResponds effectively to client requestsBegin to perform research and prepare more complex opinions for technical conclusions on client engagements Provide suggestions related to an assignment or projectIn house assignments such as accounting research or office administrationMay support and coach junior staff members or staff accountants on the teamSummary of Experience
Public accounting experience3+ years experience with tax and auditRequirements:
Teamwork and the ability to support team goals Strong commitment to quality and accuracyCompletion of a University Accounting degree and working towards obtaining their CPA designationDevelopment of a business advisor mindset is important Thorough understanding of ASPE, CAS and Canadian Tax to be able to complete the more complex areas of an engagement.Experience with IFRS and ASPE preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clientsPossess strong project management skills and organization, with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneouslyProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Caseware, Jazz-it, Tax Prep, QuickBooks and Simply AccountingGreat Ideas.
