Home Hardware has an exciting opportunity available for a Senior EPMO Manager to join our Strategy and Management team. Reporting to the Director, IT Strategy and Management, you will be responsible for creating and leading the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) practices to meet business needs and ensure quality solutions that provide the greatest value to Home Hardware.

What you’ll do:

Provides project management and project execution processes that meet business needs and ensure quality solutions that provide the greatest value to Home Hardware. Manage, coach, and develop a team of core project people including, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Business-Systems Analysts. Manage and develop staff performance and supporting individual development plans. Ensure core project people are focused on the highest value initiatives. Fully understand and apply best practices within project management, business analysis, systems analysis, and human change management. Ensure optimal design option is chosen, taking into consideration both business and IT benefits and constraints. Participate in continuous process and tools improvement. Build relationships and communicate to all levels of the organization. Build relationships with external people resources and project delivery participants. Educate and coach internal and external partners as they participate in project delivery.

What we’re looking for:

University / College degree in Information Technology or Business. PMP designation is required. Ten years’ experience in project management, business management, and business analysis, with five plus years in managing and leading a project team. Familiarity with PMI's Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK), IIBA’s Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), and Prosci’s ADKAR human change management methodology is an asset. Proven experience with waterfall, iterative waterfall, and agile scrum project execution would be an asset. Excellent understanding of project management methodology, including planning, estimating, executing, and controlling. Proven experience managing Information Technology projects. Excellent interpersonal and people management skills; with the ability to work in a matrix team-oriented environment. Strong leadership, management, and facilitation skills. Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal, and the ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels in the organization. Strong business acumen and awareness of information technology trends. Results oriented with a focus on quality. Creative thinker with the ability to see the big picture. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities. Ability to balance risk, cost, and benefit. Ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
