Quality Assurance Inspector (QAI)
is a part of Quality Assurance (further – QA) Team, which main task is to ensure that quality of DAS products meets DAS internal quality standards. In general, DAS QA Program, regarding to production component of company operation, encompasses following:
- Work Instructions are created, describing how to execute various production tasks to achieve desired quality of final product.
- Employee, performing respective task is educated on respective Work Instructions
- Based on Work Instructions, Production Inspections are set in place (at certain critical points in production process) to ensure that proper quality is maintained throughout the entire production process.
- QAI is tasked with conducting Production Inspections at pre-set stages of production process.
- Goal(s) of conducting Production Inspections:
- Overall improvement of product final quality
- reduce or eliminate deficiencies carry-over from previous production stage to another (thus reducing overall time loss on re-work etc.)
- improved feedback to employee/team leader regarding quality
- collected data, suitable for analysis and further improvement (addressing specific “weak spots”, re-occurring issues etc.)
QAI tasks
- To conduct on all production lines Production Inspections at each designated production stations once respective production stage/task is complete
- Inspections to be conducted in timely manner, yet not compromising Inspections outcome (ensuring that product is inspected thoroughly/properly).
- To collect data during Production Inspections by using ProdTest online tool
- Collected data must be job-specific and precise.
- To report found deficiencies to Production Supervisor and Production team leaders and verify that said deficiencies are addressed properly
In addition to QAI main tasks, outlined above, Inspector could be engaged in following:
- ProdTest online tool review (inspections, tool layout etc.)
- Review of current state of production processes and practices
- Work Instructions maintenance, review and rework.
- Production Inspections data analysis and report compilation.
Qualification
- Thorough, attentive to details
- Good interpersonal skills (non-confrontational, team-player etc.)
- Able to understand and follow instructions
- Understand and follow Safety Procedures
- Read and comprehend technical documentation, that accompany products during production, as well as equipment OMM and other documentation provided with product to the end user.
- Understand basics of HVAC products design and operation, differentiate product models, sizes etc.
- Understand basics of refrigeration, electrical and mechanical aspects of HVAC products and operation
- Understand production flow (arrangement of production lines, production stations and stages) and Production Department structure and operation (production teams and their tasks and responsibilities, chain of command etc.)
- Possess good knowledge of HVAC production Work Instructions for various tasks at various production stages and stations
- Facility and ability with software tools, such a Microsoft tools.
- Fully bilingual - FRENCH and English
