Your Opportunity:

The incumbent is responsible for supporting the KEC front line clinical staff and physicians with quality and healthcare projects and initiatives to improve health outcomes, access, and experience of patients. The clinic leader works independently and in concert with operational and physician leadership to: Lead the design, implementation, and coordination of service improvement initiatives that support the strategic planning and key priorities of the KEC. Support the design, implementation, and coordination of site ambulatory care projects.Influence culture change through continual representation of the body of knowledge specific to knowledge mobilization, implementation science, change management and project management to ensure efficient, evidence-based, approaches.Establish project teams and use various processes and tools to assess, implement, and evaluate projects to support operational managers in the advancement of ambulatory care.The incumbent will assist in the development of recommendations to KEC leadership regarding strategies that have fiscal and service implications. As connection and relationships are key to this role, the incumbent will develop and maintain a strong working relationship with staff, external stakeholders, physicians, patients, and families.

Description:

Complexity in this position is influenced by the requirements to be knowledgeable of the key issues of a large multifaceted organization and to be aware of related external issues/factors which may affect ambulatory care operations. The incumbent will work with multiple internal and external parties including the University of Alberta, the University of Alberta Hospital Foundation, community organizations, and acute and community services. Experience with system level change required.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of bachelor’s degree in a health care profession, health care administration, and experience in quality improvement.

Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Strong leadership skills, communication skills both verbal and written. Masters level degree in a discipline relevant to health care profession, health care administration, and or quality improvement, process improvement, quality management, project management or higher credentials. Experience in Implementation Science is preferred.Experience in leading teams through change, process improvement, PROSCI, or Lean training is desired.
