We are looking for a  Shift Quality Control Laboratory Technician  to join our Meadow Lake OSB Division, located in  Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan . Meadow Lake employs employees and safely and sustainably produces million square feet of OSB every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities. 

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Previous experience in laboratory operations within an industrial manufacturing environment in a quality assurance/control function an asset. Working knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO1, ISO. Post secondary education in an engineering, science, or technical related discipline a strong asset. Mechanically inclined with demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills . Punctual and detail-oriented , with accurate record-keeping and communication skills . Strong organizational skills  and proficiency in using testing and measuring equipment . Capable of adhering to standard operating procedures and following precise work instructions. Able to lift objects weighing up to lbs . Proficient in standard computer software, including Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).


In this role, you will:

Perform mechanical and physical testing on incoming raw materials and finished product according to standard operating procedures.  Maintain accurate records and ensure all testing documentation is completed promptly. Proper operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and process instrumentation . Work closely with production teams to communicate quality standards and address concerns. Offloading bulk chemicals and operating forklifts .  Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, process instrumentation and work areas .
