We are currently seeking a relief full time Community Mental Health Worker 1 to join our Mental Health (MH) team at the Salmon Arm Health Centre in Salmon Arm, B.C. (This is not at home support position).
This relief position is until the return of the incumbent.

Salary Range:

Effective April 1, 2024, the pay scale for this position is $27.92 to $29.60 p/h.

What will you work on?


The Community Mental Health Worker 1 functions as part of an integrated multidisciplinary Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Team and performs a variety of life skills and general support duties involving clients who are living in their own housing. Reporting to the HCIS Manager or designate, and in accordance with established treatment plans, this position provides services within a psychosocial rehabilitation and harm reduction framework for the assigned client population(s) with severe mental illnesses and/or substance use disorders.

This position also provides support to clients in the development and maintenance of the skills required to live successfully in their own homes. The Community Mental Health Worker 1 is expected to engage clients in various community settings as people with full potential and as meaningful collaborators in their own service planning, delivery and evaluation.

Scheduling Information:

Shifts times are from 08:30 to 16:30, 13:00 to 21:00 hours. Shift types are days and evenings.
