We are currently seeking a  Senior Geologist to join our Western Canada Engineering Group. This position will be based out of one of our Western Canada offices, and a hybrid remote-work environment option is available.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing a range of geological services to clients in the mining sector including geologic modelling, resource evaluations, National Instrument 43-101 technical reports, due diligence studies, mine permitting applications, and geologic mapping. Support geologic modelling and structural geology assessment for non-mining projects. Collaborate with a diverse group of experts, including geologists, engineers, and metallurgists. Collect and analyze geological and geotechnical information. Optimize and maintain drill hole database, reconcile historic and modern geology mapping and drilling, and QA/QC sample data. Undertake and supervise geological field investigations, QP site visits for QA/QC, structural geology assessments, and other field reviews as necessary. Develop proposals and cost estimates for client review. Communicate with clients and sub consultants. Schedule and manage projects to be on budget and on time. Work with senior management in a business development and marketing role. Support junior and intermediate staff in a mentorship role. Establish and maintain strong client relationships. Prepare safe work forms for field work and commit to maintaining safety as paramount in all work.

Qualifications:

Degree in Geology, Geoscience or Earth Science, with a focus on economic, structural or ore deposit geology. Be registered as P.Geo with EGBC, or equivalent professional organization. Have a minimum of 8 years recent and relevant experience, preferably in a consulting environment. Demonstrated knowledge of geological modelling software such as Geovia Surpac, Datamine Studio RM, and Seequent Leapfrog. Demonstrated knowledge of geostatistical concepts and analyses. Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory analyses, and quality control/assurance measures. Be a Qualified Person as per National Instrument 43-101. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and able to travel for project work. Valid Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent. Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment. Ability to compile clear and effective technical reports for internal and external use.
