Position Overview

ZALIG CONSULTING LTD. is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Geologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background and extensive experience in the field.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Geology or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in geological consulting or related areas
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a dynamic setting, primarily within a consulting geology, geophysics, or engineering firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct both theoretical and applied research to enhance understanding of the earth's surface and subsurface characteristics.
  • Develop models and applied software for data analysis and interpretation.
  • Identify and provide guidance on potential natural hazards.
  • Plan and execute analytical studies of core samples to determine their chemical, mineral, hydrocarbon, and biological properties.
  • Oversee geological, geochemical, and geophysical survey data analysis, including well logs and other test results.
  • Lead geological field studies, drilling operations, and geological testing initiatives.
  • Advise on land acquisition, exploration, mapping programs, and mine development strategies.
  • Utilize GPS and other navigation tools effectively.
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in ArcGIS and other mapping software.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation on computerized platforms.
  • Strong data manipulation and analysis capabilities.
  • Expertise in data visualization techniques.
Field Experience

Experience working on land is essential for this role.
