The Manufacturing Technologist will be responsible for developing software programs for the CNC and waterjet equipment as well as support of the production process through the hands-on execution of efficient production procedures. This role requires close collaboration with engineers and production staff to implement innovative solutions and maintain high manufacturing standards.

Utilizing Jetcam (nesting) software to allow the proper tooling of raw materials on the waterjet and ensuring proper usage and execution of the waterjet. Utilize MasterCam software to produce CNC operating programs for manufactured parts. Supporting the production process through the utilization of the ERP system to process and track material movements.Opening and closing of jobs within the ERP systemReview parts for quality control inspection Assist with release of drawing releases and schedules from the engineering department to the production department. Assist in detailing engineering drawings and support the implementation of process changes. Analyze the manufacturing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Who we’re looking for?

A post secondary diploma or degree in manufacturing engineering or manufacturing engineering technology or similar 1-2 years in a manufacturing setting including programming machining software or quality control Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading Design for Manufacture experience/training Understanding of machining practices, using various equipment and on various materials Jetcam software knowledge for waterjet system an asset CNC operation proficiency preferred
