AgWest is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll/HR Administrator with expertise in benefits administration to manage their payroll processes and support various HR functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Additionally, experience in benefits administration, including enrollment, coordination, and communication with employees, will be crucial for success in this role.

As the Payroll & Benefits Administrator, you will: Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely using PayWorks. Ensure compliance with provincial and federal payroll regulations and tax requirements. Maintain accurate records of employee information, including but not limited to hours worked, deductions, and withholdings. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits, providing timely and accurate information. Coordinate with the HR team to onboard new employees and process employee changes, including salary adjustments, promotions, and terminations. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks. Facilitate benefits enrollment and ensure timely communication of benefit options to eligible employees. Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit-related questions and issue resolution. Collaborate with external vendors, such as insurance providers and retirement plan administrators, to ensure smooth benefits administration. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures related to payroll and benefits administration. Generate payroll and benefits reports as needed for management and regulatory compliance purposes. You and Your Experience: Payroll Compliance Certificate and/or Certified Payroll Manager Certification. At least 3 years in payroll administration, preferably in a similar industry/sector. Relevant diploma or certificate (ie. Business Administration, Accounting, Payroll, HR) is an asset.  Strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in payroll software/systems (e.g., PayWorks.) and MS 365. Experience in benefits administration, including enrollment, communication, and issue resolution. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. About the company:
