On behalf of our client, The Brandon Sun, we are currently recruiting for a Retail Sales Representative to join their Advertising Department in Brandon, Manitoba.
The Retail Sales Representative at The Brandon Sun will play a vital role in driving advertising sales and fostering long-lasting relationships with customers. The successful candidate will sell advertising space to existing and potential advertisers and provide necessary servicing for a full product range of print and digital solutions.

As the Sales Representative, you will:  Maintain and increase advertising revenues for Brandon Sun products including print, online and special features. Provide excellent customer service. Liaise between customer, credit and production departments and resolve any problems which may arise. Maintain regular customer contact by personal visits and telephone daily. Research potential clients and reach out to them. Work with creative services department to create and design advertising campaign layouts and strategies. Service customer accounts, including billing, ad placement, production, quality, etc.. Prepare sales presentations with research tailored to specific customer markets. Conduct all transactions with professionalism and integrity. Perform weekly, monthly and yearly account revenue analysis. Build relationships in the community and attend client functions as required. Additional duties and special projects as assigned.
You and Your Experience: 2 - 3 years of sales or advertising experience. Knowledge of digital advertising, social media would be considered an asset. Excellent oral and written presentation skills. Post-secondary education in Marketing/Sales would be considered an asset. Strong computer skills are essential, internet proficiency is required. Effective team player with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
