Project Summary

Our client leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across the region. The organization also delivers some region-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for health organizations.

With over 12,000 interdisciplinary employees delivering clinical, preventive, and administrative shared services in partnership with over 250 local, regional, and provincial health service delivery organizations in urban, rural, and remote locations across the area, our client provides patients with the best health care and health outcomes possible. This is achieved by partnering with health organizations, educational institutions, and clinical experts to plan and deliver evidence-based, innovative, and sustainable models of care that are accessible, consistent, and serve the needs of all patients as close to home as possible.

The Provincial Health System Transformation project is the largest change to the provincial healthcare system in a generation. This initiative aims to improve patient care and support strategic healthcare system alignment by leading the coordinated planning and integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services. Additionally, the project focuses on delivering centralized business functions to support the delivery of care across provincial health organizations. The transformation requires proven, province-wide leadership with broad jurisdictional experience across multiple areas of clinical delivery and business functions. This is to build an integrated leadership team and effective pan-system relationships that drive strategic and sustainable outcomes, enable the work of partner service delivery organizations, and provide centralized business functions and provincial health services. Our client operates a jurisdictional tertiary hospital and provides a broad range of health delivery services spanning all areas of care, including primary, acute, and continuous across urban, rural, and remote areas.

Education and Certifications:
  1. Project Management Certification: Proof of certification is required with the application.
  2. Prosci Organizational Change Management Certification: Proof of certification is required with the application.
  3. SCRUM Project Management Certification: Proof of certification is required with the application.
Skills and Experience:

  1. Organizational Change Management:

    • Requirement: 5 years of experience utilizing a structured methodology such as Prosci to deliver organizational change management strategies and plans.
    • Details: Provide at least 2 examples, including the duration of the projects, totaling at least 5 years, and specify the methodology applied.

  2. Project Management:

    • Requirement: 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, including budget creation and cost tracking, assignment of resources, and managing interdependencies in delivering a combination of technology, business, and process change in complex sectors such as healthcare, financial services, or other public sectors.
    • Details: Provide at least 2 examples, including the duration of the projects, totaling at least 10 years.

  3. Transformational Projects:

    • Requirement: 5 years of experience implementing large transformational projects, including organizational and service redesign projects.
    • Details: Provide at least 2 examples, including the duration of the projects, totaling at least 5 years, specifying the organizational or service redesign component.

  4. Government Projects:

    • Requirement: 3 years of experience as a Project Manager working on projects in a government environment.
    • Details: Provide at least 1 example, including the duration of the project, totaling at least 3 years.

  5. Business Transformation Leadership:

    • Requirement: 5 years of experience providing program or project leadership of large business transformation activities, including planning and program/project management, working with executive leaders, oversight of project managers/team leaders, organizational change management, risk management, and reporting to executive sponsors.
    • Details: Provide at least 2 examples, including the duration of the projects, totaling at least 5 years.

  6. Healthcare Projects:

    • Requirement: 5 years of experience as a Project Manager working on projects in the healthcare environment, defined as Acute Care, Primary Care, or Long Term Care.
    • Details: Provide at least 1 example, including the duration of the project, totaling at least 5 years.

  7. Clinical Change Projects:

    • Requirement: 3 years of experience as a Project Manager working on projects in the healthcare environment, specifically where projects were implementing clinical change (process or technology changes to systems and work performed by direct frontline patient staff such as physicians or nurses).
    • Details: Provide at least 1 example, including the duration of the project, totaling at least 3 years.
