AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Meter Technicians (Journeyperson) for work in Ontario

You will earn:

  • $43 per hour before overtime
  • $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
  • Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
  • Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

***Contract Duration is 1-120 days***

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform system testing during upgrades and document results
  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of electric, gas and water utilities.
  • Support resolutions to customer concerns and complaints
  • Prepare and maintain installation records, complying with regulatory requirements
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining installation records
  • Conduct meter service, upgrades, exchanges, installs, troubleshooting and service verification.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while complying with all health and safety requirements.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Meter Technician Certified (required)
  • Proficiency analyzing equipment, and specialized metering business applications
  • Knowledge of UK Conditions of Service And Metering Standards
  • Knowledge of IESO Market Rules
  • Minimum 1 year experience.
  • Class G driver's license.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills
  • Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
