Role Summary:

As a Territory Manager with Edge Imaging Inc., you are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, renewing your existing business and selling the Edge Imaging brand, products and services. Each year you will be tasked with growing Edge Imaging business in line with company vision and values. You will establish plans and strategies in partnership with your sales colleagues and management to expand the customer base in each of the respective territories that you are selling in.

The role demands an individual who is personable, strategic, organized, and works efficiently and effectively. This role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager (RSM). The ideal candidate should be willing to consistently collaborate with their Regional Sales Manager, other Territory Managers (TM), other Edge employees and departments to optimize marketing and sales opportunities. The Territory Manager is also held accountable to ensure that the Company’s CRM system is fully utilized.

Responsibilities: 

The duties of the Territory Manager include but are not limited to the following:

Team:

May be required to hire and mentor a small team of locally based photographers to ensure that they are properly representing the Edge Imaging brand in both areas of professionalism and photography qualityMay be required to fulfill the responsibilities as a photographer Ensure photographers receive the proper company provided training across the core photography programs throughout the year Schedule your photographers throughout the year to meet the demands of your customer photography schedulesEnsure all HR documentation for your team is submitted as per Edge policies and procedures, including VSS’s

Service/Renewals:

Successfully renew existing customers to meet company targets in a developing territory Provide exceptional and smart customer service throughout the year to ensure that customers are happy  Continually build relationships with photo decision makers and other key contacts (administrative assistant, vice principals, principals, etc.) 

Sales: 

Develop a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape of the growing territory, including a detailed analysis of all competitor programs and offerings, and creates competitive analysis summaries to assist in presentations to prospects Implement key account acquisition and account retention plans Drives sales growth principally by means of creating strong one on one personal relationships with the appropriate school authorities who are the decision makers for school pictures  Develop a thorough understanding of the Edge Imaging Brand, products and services and effectively promote the same in the territories assigned  Promote and sell the company’s products and services to a specified list of prospects as may be directed by the RSM Make regular contact with prospects, secure and make sales presentations, answer questions, prepare competitive analysis in collaboration with the Marketing Communications team, and always be establishing and building meaningful relationships that result in prospects signing Edge Imaging sales and service photography agreements  Assess competitor strengths and weaknesses on an ongoing basis for the purpose of implementing successful sales strategies  Communicate competitive findings back to the Marketing Communications department, allowing findings to be shared with the entire sales team Participate in all sales team activities  Participate at conferences and events where prospects will be in attendance and where Edge Imaging is represented

Reports: 

Utilize the Company’s systems appropriately, operational, administrative and sales systems to provide detailed and accurate reporting of activities to management as required Provide regular updates of sales calls, funnel activities and other performance-based reporting as requested by management

Financial: 

Manage sales offerings smartly in conjunction with the RSM and management

Other:

Offer input and suggestions on annual marketing and sales strategies Ensure all Edge systems data and account information are up to date  Create and conduct proposal presentations and assist in Request for Proposal (RFP) responses  Actively participates in professional development activities to build product knowledge and sales skills, including the active participation in Company Sales meetings  Proactively contribute and abide by all company policies, procedures and business ethics Including but not limited to; health & safety and vacation policies Works with the RSM to obtain the necessary professional development and assessments to achieve sales and operations objectives Special projects as assigned

Internal / External Cooperation:

As a developing Territory Manager, you will have some ability to work independently while working closely with all available resources to progress to an emerging Territory Manager classification Always demonstrate and act with professionalism in the areas of personal character, commitment, organization, communication, and work habits  Collaborating effectively with both Edge Imaging team members and prospective customers Maintain regular and consistent contact with all key accounts and on a less frequent basis all remaining accounts in the territory to ensure high levels of client satisfaction  Work closely with the Sales and Marketing Communications teams for inside sales support, ensuring quality content that is brand aligned is always provided to prospects 

Skills/Qualifications:

Up to 3 years sales and management experience is an asset College diploma or equivalent Use of good judgment and an ability to balance both the customers' and the company's best interest  Excellent composure under pressure  Sound and timely decision making  Strong team player and leadership skills  Commitment to process improvements to improve both customer experience and organizational efficiencies  Strong organization and time management skills demonstrated though consistent contact with accounts Proven ability in meeting sales targets preferably in school photography  Demonstrates and acts with professionalism in the areas of commitment, organization, selling skills, and work habits Strong client focus and maintaining client satisfaction Skilled in problem solutions both internally and externally  Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to close deals Interpersonal skills reflected in ability to work with all levels of employees Demonstrated commitment to professional development Good communication skills, both written and verbal in English and French an asset Must be legally able to work in Canada Successful candidates require reliable car with the ability to carry professional photographic equipment. A valid driver’s license and car insurance is required As this position involves working with children in a school setting successful applicants must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check

Physical requirements & work environment

Fast paced office environment Ability to sit for extensive periods of time Moving or lifting items up to 25lbs may be required Travel required throughout specified region School environment from Kindergarten to College/University
