Job Purpose

Lead all scopes relating to rigid riser and pipeline design on either a study, tender or project.

Job Description

Responsible for the rigid pipeline in-place design scope, within the given schedule and man-hours and as per Internal Quality requirement through pro-active interaction of all the relevant stakeholders along the chain..  Develop and maintain the Scope of Work Engineering Schedule, monitor and capture any delays, updates or changes to the Rigid Pipeline Engineering scope.  Pro-actively seeks design or methodology improvements that would enhance the safety, schedule and cost of a project. Mitigation and reduction of technical risks exposure.

You are meant for this job if:

8 to 12 years of experience.  Holds a high-quality honors degree or equivalent in a relevant field of engineering such as Mechanical, Naval or Civil Engineering with solid knowledge of materials (metallic and plastic). Good level of relevant experience and/or understanding of; application of engineering theory of rigid pipeline and/or riser behaviour to a range of specific and general pipeline design issues, including but not limited to: pipeline mechanical design and design and/or in-service behaviour as well as the integrated design/engineering requirements to cater for fabrication and installation in the Engineering phase. Familiar with FEA Analysis software such as Oracaflex or Abaqus. Proficiency in industry codes, standards and regulations, such as ASME, API, DNV, and CFR Demonstrates schedule management skills Good awareness/experience of interfacing with other disciplines taking part in execution of a SURF scope
