Concrete Construction Formworker

Stubbe’s is a family owned and operated company that has been in business for over 40 years. 

Stubbe’s started as a small precast company servicing the agricultural market, evolving over the past 40 years to a diversified company that provides a wide range of concrete (related) products and services.

 Working on a construction crew travelling to various construction sites across Ontario. This position reports to our main office location in Harley, ON on a daily basis. (located between Brantford, ON and Woodstock, ON). This position is NOT seasonal.

THE DAY TO DAY

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to construct formwork for concrete structures.Measure, cut, and assemble wood, other materials to build forms.Install formwork supports, braces, and scaffolding as needed.Pour and spread concrete to form desired shapes and structures.Remove forms after concrete has set and assist in finishing surfaces if necessary.Inspect and maintain formwork materials and equipment.Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Proven experience as a carpenter or formworker in the construction industry is an asset.Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding construction drawings is an asset.Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent attention to detail and precision.Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures.Certification or training in carpentry or related field is a plus.
