The opportunity:

MT Talent is proud to partner with a reputable HVAC manufacturer’s representative offering world-class HVAC solutions across Ontario for over 30 years. As their business flourishes, they are looking to add a Technical Sales Engineer to their Sudbury office.

The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for the sale of products and equipment, as well as developing and maintaining client and vendor relationships. Dealing with high-level accounts, this role requires individuals with previous experience in the HVAC sector.

Territory: Algoma, Sudbury, Parry Sound, Nipissing, Muskoka (including Barrie), Haliburton

Collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators on product selection, pricing and take-offs Here’s what you bring to the role: 5 or more years of experience in the HVAC market. A minimum of 2 years’ in a sales focused role is required. Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or similar Ability to read construction, engineered and technical drawings and perform accurate take-offs and pricing Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with a proven knowledge of sales techniques Previous experience in quoting and/or project management and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is an asset. Experience multi-tasking with a proven ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and KPI’s is required. Working knowledge of The Ontario Building Code and associated ASHRAE Standards is required Excellent computer skills including a high level of proficiency with MS Office Suite, CRM software. NetSuite experience is an asset. Experience with HVAC industry software is highly preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to anticipate customer needs. A proven consultative and strategic approach to sales.  A proactive, autonomous, “doer” attitude that works well independently or as part of a cross-functional team A positive, resilient and eager personality that exudes professionalism, accountability and integrity French language skills are an asset but not required
