Current Opportunity – Technical Specialist, Project Management

If you're a driven and talented individual with a passion for project management, we want you on our team We're currently seeking a Technical Specialist, Project Management, to provide project management services that support routine to moderately complex infrastructure and environmental projects. As the ideal candidate, you'll be responsible for :

Research, prepare and present documentation related to long-term projects, approvals, project charters, budgets, policies and procedures Complete project management from initiation to closure for infrastructure and environmental projects Support Client-Partner project approval processes by facilitating decision making within Client-Partner organizations through the development of business case analysis, functional space programming and other documentation Coordinate stakeholder communications to ensure timely decision making Participate in procurement planning and prepare tender documents Coordinate activities of consultants Act as the representative of the project director or project manager, as required and within DCC delegated signing authority Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate and Client-Partner expectations Prepare monthly reportsSupport and/or lead business development activities Manage risk

You will get to showcase your expertise in supporting routine infrastructure and environmental projects. Here are the qualifications we're looking for :

A college diploma in engineering, architecture or related field with approximately four years’ relevant experience, or the equivalent A university degree in one of the above fields and/or additional training or experience in project management is preferred Strong knowledge of best practices, methods, trends and legislation in real property, environmental and construction service Familiarity with client-partner project management policies and procedures Understanding of Treasury Board Secretariat policies and procedures Knowledge of project, contract and risk management principles Ability to use applicable computer software and operating systems
