We invite applications for a Health Centre Assistant at St. Andrew’s College, reporting to the Director of Health Services. The position operates on a Monday-to-Friday 30 hours per week following the academic year, typically August 1 to June 30.

The primary responsibilities of the Health Centre Assistant will include:

Providing comprehensive support to the Health Centre team in their daily operations. Serving as the first point of contact, providing meticulous administrative support and compassionate patient care. Scheduling appointments for boarding students and accompanying them to their medical or dental appointments during scheduled work hours. Maintaining the privacy of patients’ health record files and accurate billing. Coordinating and processing student insurance claims for international students. Managing the Accuro EMR system. Fostering a welcoming and positive environment for all Health Centre users. Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and other relevant regulations and standards as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act and the school policies.

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

Relevant post-secondary school degree or diploma in a related field. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative support roles, preferably in a healthcare setting. Class G driver’s license is necessary. Working knowledge of standard and college-specific administrative practices and Microsoft Office applications in an education setting. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and staff. A commitment to accuracy and precise execution of administrative functions. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
