Job Title:
Hardware Vehicle Installation Technician – (12v Technician)
Summary:
We are seeking technicians to install hardware/electronic devices (GPS Navigation, Satellite Radio, Alarm Systems, Full Range Audio Components CD/MP3/DVD/Video Game/Television receivers, factory and after-market vehicle speakers and Sub Woofers etc) into a wide range of vehicles (cars, trucks, tractors, etc).
Technicians will be responsible for:
ü Doing new and replacement installations and upgrades
ü Troubleshooting previous/existing installations
ü Handling general technical support of client issues
ü Fill out installation time sheets and send in to Admin.
ü Other related duties as assigned
ü After hours support and installations as needed
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
ü Must have an MECP Diploma or extensive 12v installation experience
ü Must be familiar with electrical equipment mentioned above
ü Must demonstrate understanding of basic electrical/wiring practices and principles
ü Able to apply common sense
ü Carry out instructions provided to you (in written, oral or diagram form)
ü Ability to use trade tools and follow safety standards
ü Able to trouble shoot issues over the phone with clients
ü Efficient at operating a Windows based Laptop and Desktop computer
ü Familiarity with Modems and Wireless technology a Plus
ü Correct use of soldering irons, pliers, wire cutters
ü Clear and accurate written and verbal English skills
ü Excellent time management skills
Working Conditions
On site at client locations which will be a mix of both indoor and outdoor settings.
