Essential Functions of the Job:

To provide information, assistance and outstanding courteous customer service in the department at all times.

To maintain and display all types of produce according to Departmental procedures, ensuring proper rotation, fresh and full at all times.

To place orders for replenishment of inventory as required. 

Keep proper markdown reports.

Advise Department Manager of special out of stock merchandise requested by customers.

Adjust minor complaints in keeping with general sales policy and to refer more serious complaints to the Department Manager.

Make fruit baskets upon customer requests.

Cut up fruit/vegetables, package and price for display area.

Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties as per Association standards.

To operate equipment necessary to prepare merchandise for sale.

Provide proper maintenance of equipment, monitor case temperatures, clean equipment regularly and notify manager in reference to repairs.

Be familiar with and adhere to Delta Co-op policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

Basic computer skills

Basic math skills

Current food handler’s certificate once employed

Ability to work in a team environment

Excellent customer service skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
