Equipment Operator - Gibsons, BC

BC Eco Industrial Services are looking for an Equipment Operator to join our Sunshine Coast operations in Gibsons, BC. POSITION BENEFITS

Wage is $30-35 per hour, depending on experience Overtime pay after 8 hours 21 days on, 7 days off monthly shifts, 12 hour days working with chipping crew. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Wheel Loader: Forward logs from dryland sort to chipper, move chips and waste wood material, and load chip trucks. Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner, perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance.
Operate other heavy equipment as required and instructed by site supervisors. Ensure company policies, core values and culture are being consistently upheld.
General job set-up, site clean up, and materials removal.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

As a member of the BC Eco Industrial Services team, we expect you to bring the following to the table:

Minimum 2 years’ experience operating Log Loader and Wheel Loader Experience and knowledge of working in a log yard or logging environment preferred. Mechanical aptitude and capable of performing basic daily equipment maintenance.
Motivated self-starter with positive attitude and proven safety record. Experience running other types of heavy equipment would be an asset. Valid Class 5 driver’s licence. Physically fit and able to walk uneven ground, chip piles and log yard locations.
Team player who is willing to pitch in wherever needed.
