THE ROLE

Canadian Linen is looking for a Safety Coordinator/Maintenance Engineer to join our team as a Full-time employee.

What you’ll do:

Light maintenance of plant equipment. Answering repair calls. Perform safety checks on equipment. Perform maintenance of the boiler. New employee orientation. Shipping/ receiving/organizing inventory. Managing forklift operations. Plant inspections: safety/personal protective equipment. Plant walk throughs with guests and contractors. WCB injury reporting/follow up. Staff safety training. Chair Joint health and safety committee meetings. Attend safety meetings with zone supervisor. Organize safety binders and paperwork. Conduct fire drills/safety audits. Occasionally assist other departments. Perform additional duties assigned by Chief Engineer.

We are looking for individuals who have:

2+ years of experience in similar positions in an industrial or manufacturing environment.  Building operator/building maintenance experience, an asset. Forklift license, an asset.
