Job Duties

Perform all parts of the PT process. Perform various Non-Destructive Tests to ensure quality and/​or detect defects using PT NDT methods. Record and evaluate inspection results. Able to work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision. Will conduct NDT inspections and interpret results to accept/reject parts. Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment. Assist in developing techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results. Organize and report test results. Collaborate with Methods, Quality and Engineering in developing innovative solutions to problems. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives for the NDT process Perform inspection duties to ensure all products, processes and services comply with applicable airworthiness, Company, or customer quality requirements. Maintain a clean work area and alert their supervisor of any safety concerns. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Level II: CGSB Certification in PT is mandatory. Previously qualified candidates under NAS410 or other NDT certifications may be considered as an alternate. Experience working in a Nadcap environment is considered an asset. Proficiency with computers (MS Office suite). Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Have the skills and knowledge to set-up equipment and calibrations. Have the skills and knowledge to conduct tests, interpret and evaluate test results, accept or reject products to the applicable standard and document results. Be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method and techniques. Be capable of providing guidance and supervision to trainees, Level 1-limited personnel, and Level 1 personnel in the method. Be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer. Be capable of developing and writing inspection procedures and written instructions, which must be approved by a Level 3 certified expert in the method. Have a good knowledge of materials manufacturing and processes, inspection technology, and aircraft maintenance relevant to the employer.
