Title: Community Health Nurse.
Contract: Permanent. 
Hours: 18.75 Hours per Week (Part-Time).
Location:  Health Centre - Lillooet, B.C.
Bargaining Unit:  Professional Institute for Public Service of Canada

About the role
As the Community Health Nurse, you will provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services (community / public health, primary care and home care) in First Nations communities. You will work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. You will focus on promoting health, preventing disease and injury, protecting population health, as well as a focus on curative, rehabilitation, and supportive or palliative care. You will travel to various communities across the province.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have / be:

A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP). Valid Class 5 Drivers licence. An understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols. Knowledge of nursing processes.

You may have experience in:

Public health, Home Care Nursing, Community Health (1 – 2 years)

If selected for employment, you will be required to provide proof of vaccination by providing a copy of your BC Vaccination Card Passport with the QR code.
