Community Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Health Nurse to join our team at the First Nations Health Authority. As a Community Health Nurse, you will work in an expanded scope of practice to provide primary care, public health, health promotion, and emergency care for First Nations individuals, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care, public health, health promotion, and emergency care to First Nations individuals, families, and communities.
- Work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Develop and implement health promotion programs and services.
- Provide emergency care and respond to health emergencies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community members to improve health outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Current registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Current CPR course for Health Care Providers (HCP).
- Must be or working towards Remote certified (RNC) with BCCNM.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license.
- Understanding of First Nations cultural principles and protocols.
- Knowledge of nursing processes.
- Experience in primary care, disease and injury prevention, health protection, curative, urgent and emergent care, medical / surgical, rehabilitation and supportive or palliative care.
- Municipal Pension plan with an employer contribution of 9.31% after eligibility period.
