Position: Quality Coordinator - Manufacturing
Location: Oakville, Ontario
Status: Permanent, full-time (1)

Our Quality Team is currently recruiting for a Quality Coordinator to support our Manufacturing business. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Coordinator shall assist with the electronic entry of production records, deviation (CASE) entries, and filing of quality documentation to help meet sales / customers service demand and audit requirement. It’s a very collaborative role across various functions and departments

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our plant maintains high standards of quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.

Our Oakville, Ontario facility, part of our Ingredients division, specializes in developing, commercializing, and producing high-quality and functional food ingredient dry blends sold across various market segments. This is also the location of our R&D and Applications lab where the team supports not only our manufacturing business but also our distribution business through technical support, concept development and other innovation inspiration for our customers.

Here are some of the responsibilities you will hold in this Quality Coordinator – Manufacturing role :

Complete required raw material review and release as required, including: Reviewing COA’s to confirm compliance with agreed upon specificationsSampling raw material as per program requirements and arranging for necessary testing/evaluations Working cooperatively with procurement and planning teams to ensure adherence to timelines and notification of supplier non-conformances as needed Support Quality lab in execution of product testing, inspections and investigations. Complete production work order tracking / posting to ensure real time visibility of inventory availability for sales and customer service Ensure completeness and compliance of production records during work order tracking by: Reviewing and verifying product label informationEnsuring all necessary information required for traceability is accurately captured in a timely fashion.Working cooperatively with Operations in resolving record keeping issues noted during work order tracking. Work safely, report all workplace hazards, and follow all Quadra Health and Safety policies and procedures, Occupational Health & Safety Act Assist in providing support to QA departments for quality & food safety related issues Assist in capturing deviations and investigations into Salesforce CASE for records keeping, awareness, tracking & trending Attend and participate in all required training such as but not limited to WHMIS, AODA and Health and Safety Maintain and document procedures, specifications and quality control protocols

What do you need to have success in this Quality Coordinator role?:

Completed College Diploma (Food Science preferred). A Bachelor’s degree in Science would be a great asset At least 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment within the food business Experience in a testing laboratory setting would be an asset Some knowledge in inventory management Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Ability to problem solve, multi-task and set priorities while working independently in a high-performance team culture Good oral/written and interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers and customers Excellent time management skills along with the ability to prioritize and manage completion of multiple tasks/projects High degree to accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in quality assurance and food safety You must be proficient with the Office Suite and comfortable to work in an advanced digital environment

Working Conditions:

You will work in our Oakville office and in the production environment – this is an on-site role You must be able to wear the uniform and PPE which we will provide
