Edmonton, Canada Alberta Health Services Full time

Your Opportunity:

Give Life Alberta is a provincial program dedicated to the delivery of organ and tissue donation services throughout Alberta. The work of Give Life Alberta will ensure that the opportunity to discuss organ and tissue donation is a consistent component of end-of-life care and will increase access to life saving and life changing organ and tissue transplantation. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Senior Analyst leads all aspects of data management and quality, extraction, analytics, statistics, reporting and clinical informatics.

Description:

The Senior Analyst is responsible for the reconciliation, analysis, and reporting of data for public and internal use. This person will establish, cultivate, and sustain relationships with clinical, analytic, administrative, executive, and academic partners, and provincial and national agencies. The Senior Analyst will directly perform data extraction from a number of clinical systems, databases, and data warehouses. As such, the incumbent will require a high degree of technical skill. The incumbent will lead the development of program reports. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that all information released by the program is completely and consistently accurate. As a public facing program, erroneous reporting has potential to result in reputational harm and erosion of public trust. Data management is a major component of this role including quality assurance monitoring and identification of issues, training of staff, definition of data fields, standardization of data entry and queries of program data for purposes of evaluation of outcomes, program statistics and research. The Senior Analyst will contribute to identifying opportunities for performance improvements within the donation system, supporting decision making and performance management. All Give Life Alberta staff may occasionally be required to participate in public awareness and community engagement initiatives and events. Give Life Alberta is a virtual office, and this position is a remote work arrangement opportunity.
