Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Statements and Working Papers: Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of financial statements and working papers for Air Inuit, JMAC, and NRI. Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Month-End/Year-End Accounting: Coordinate and review month-end and year-end accounting processes for three companies. This includes overseeing the creation and validation of journal entries, ensuring accurate reconciliation of account balances, and generating comprehensive financial reports.

Variance Analysis: Identify and manage variances within financial reports. Coordinate the analysis of discrepancies and ensure that variances are thoroughly investigated and addressed.

Reconciliation Approval: Approve reconciliations and working papers, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and complete.

Budget Preparation and Review: Assist in the preparation and review of budget schedules. Collaborate with relevant departments to develop realistic budgets and forecasts, and monitor adherence to budgetary constraints.

Procedures and Controls: Continuously review and refine accounting procedures, documentation, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Inventory Reconciliation: Oversee the month-end reconciliation of inventory accounts and review inventory-related controls. Ensure that inventory records are accurate and reflect the true financial position of the company.

Cheque Signing and Banking Transactions: Act as a Signing Officer for cheques and manage related banking transactions. Ensure proper authorization and adherence to company policies in financial transactions.

External Financial Audit Coordination: Coordinate the year-end external financial audit process. Act as a liaison between the company and external auditors, ensuring that all necessary documentation is provided and audit findings are addressed.

External Tax Audits and Issues: Assist with external tax audits and related issues. Prepare required documentation and work with tax authorities to resolve any discrepancies or concerns.

Project and Statistical Analysis: Support various projects by conducting profitability and statistical analysis. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to drive decision-making.

Supervision: Supervise the accounting team and the Accounts Payable Supervisor. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of their duties.

Cash Flow and Loans Management: Manage cash flow and oversee loan agreements. Monitor financial liquidity, make recommendations for optimizing cash management, and ensure timely repayment of loans.

Special Projects Assistance: Assist in all special projects as required by the immediate supervisor. Take a senior role in project planning, execution, and analysis to support the company's strategic goals.

Qualifications
Min 5 years of relevant experience (including managing people )
Bachelors in accounting ( CPA is preferred)
experience with an ERP
strong Excel
Bilingual
