- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment, including motors, transformers, and generators.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in industrial machinery and systems to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation and prevent breakdowns.
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel and engineers to resolve complex electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Install and program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other automated systems.
- Use tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues and repair electrical components.
- Provide technical support and training to other team members on electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
- Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent qualification.
- 3+ years of experience working as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Experience with PLCs, control systems, and automated machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces, heights, and around heavy machinery.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and work in demanding conditions.
- ? Basic knowledge of mechanical systems is a plus.
