Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for an Office Assistant to support the Student Accessibility Services office by coordinating, scheduling, and administering exams according to established policies and procedures including processing exam request forms; obtaining test/exam materials and direction from faculty; preparing alternate format material and setting up assistive technology for student accommodations. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing confidential material; developing and maintaining databases; preparing statistical reports; preparing and reconciling grant applications; scheduling and coordinating submission of timesheets for student staff; responding to general inquiries; preparing relevant programming materials for SAS faculty; booking rooms for SAS programming and exams; updating the website as directed; maintaining office supplies and equipment; and other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified applicants must possess a minimum of Grade 12, plus a one (1) year Office Administration certificate program, and three (3) years of related clerical experience, or a combination of relevant experience and education.

To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite; possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills; and demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively and effectively with both internal and external customers and be able to shift focus and work on multiple competing priorities effectively and efficiently. Excellent customer service skills are a must.

*NOTE*

This is a full-time term position from July 3 to December 31, 2024.
