Position

We are looking to add a new Wire Harness Assembler to our growing team. If you are interested in working in a smaller environment where you will be exposed to all aspects of the wire harness manufacturing process, then this is the career for you.  We are searching for a skilled and detail-oriented individual who is ready to deliver high-quality, efficient work but is also willing to be taught new skills.  The Wire Harness Assembler will be responsible for taking a drawing from start to finish. They must have the ability to assemble wiring harnesses and cables with accuracy, quality, and be able to adhere to our production standards.


Responsibilities and Duties

Working and reporting directly to the Wire Harness Manager, the Wire Harness Assembler will: 

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, maps, drawings and specifications;  
  • Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines to crimp and splice wire leads; 
  • Operate automatic testing equipment to locate circuit and wiring faults, shorts and component defects;  
  • Set up wire assembly form board, adhering to drawings and procedures; 
  • Assemble wire harnesses, adhering to quality standards and set deadlines; 
  • Inspect electronic components and assemblies to ensure adherence to specified requirements;  
  • Perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts and systems;  
  • Check final assembly for finish, labelling and packaging methods. 

The Wire Harness Assembler will operate the following Equipment/Machinery: 

  • Soldering station; 
  • Automatic, Manual, and Hydraulic crimper; 
  • Ultrasonic Welder; 
  • Automated heat shrink cutting machine.  

A successful candidate must: 

  • Have at least 1 year of work experience with knowledge of wire preparation that includes wire cutting, wire stripping and terminating, and soldering. 
  • Possess the capability to understand and interpret electrical drawings; 
  • Be detail-oriented; 
  • Possess good manual dexterity; 
  • Be comfortable in an exciting fast-paced environment; 
  • Be a constructive team player; 
  • Possess and exhibit a positive attitude; 
  • Be focused on quality workmanship. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and word is desirable.

Higher consideration will be given to candidates who have experience working with automotive electrical.
