We are looking to hire a Junior Estimator/Project Coordinatorto join our Sales & Engineering team. This is a permanent-full-time position based at our head office, located in Edmonton. The Junior Estimator/Project Coordinatormust be able to align with the company’s core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect. Some key responsibilities include the following:

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the coordination and preparation of cost estimates for road construction projects; Review and analyze bid packages;Handle frequent communication with sub-contractors;Assist with project plan take-off, scheduling and estimating projects; Interpret tender specifications, documents and plans; Attend and participate in onsite meetings with clients, owners, representatives, staff and contractors;Assist with project site measurements;Assist project managers with administrative tasks.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum qualification of a Civil Technology diploma or equivalent from a recognized institution is required;3-5 years Estimator/Project Coordinatorexperience is highly desirable; however we will consider less experienced applicants;Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract are required;Must have proven ability to be self-motivated and be able to work with limited supervision;Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel, Google Suite applications is required;Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required;Ability to work long hours/some weekends during the busy summer/fall season is required;Must possess strong organization skills, strong attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;Must be able to work well independently as well as in a team environment;Estimating experience with capability of using Heavy Bid or equivalent system is desirable.
