As a Property Research Specialist, you will facilitate the research of property records both internally and externally related to permits, subscriptions,, policy documents and historical property information. Primary duties include:

Locate and provide information relating to property research to internal and external parties using the 311-system ensuring compliance with Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP).  Coordinate record requests including extensive research projects and arrange viewings in person or online.  Collect and manage payments in-person and over the phone while maintaining Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance.  Manage a high volume of records from Service Requests.  Create and implement operational improvements for property information and permit requests.  Maintain business processes to ensure accuracy.  Respond to inquiries by telephone, email or in person relating to record research and information.  Utilize numerous databases to conduct historical searches for property information. Provide support to the Business Records and Information Management Administrator (BIRMA) including processing record requests, tracking statistics, and supporting FOIP administration. Qualifications  A completed 1 year certificate in Records and Information Management (RIM) or a related education with at least 3 years of related experience. OR  A completed 2 year diploma in Records and Information Management, Library Studies, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related education with at least 1 year of related RIM experience. OR A degree in Library Service or related field. Experience in Records and Information Management is required.  Experience in planning and development, construction, permitting, and licensing is an asset.  Membership in a professional records and information a management organization is considered an asset.  Experience working with Microfilm and Microfiche would be an asset.  Possess exceptional communication skills along with a strong customer service focus.  Demonstrate accuracy and high attention to detail.  Working Conditions: Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
