Reporting to the Business Center Manager, the Inside Salesperson is expected to interact with customers by taking their orders, answering price inquiries, providing technical information and helping them solve problems. The Inside Salesperson must also be involved in the sale of products.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to customers and calls in a courteous and professional manner;
Listens to customers and makes sure to understand their needs before responding;
Ensures that customers' expectations for delivery times of rush orders are met;
Ensures that orders are prepared without error;
Gathers market information and communicates the information to the manager and outside vendors;
Develops and maintains long term professional relationships with customers;
Assists the company in its growth;
Handles customer returns in a timely manner;
Takes action to resolve customer service issues and follow up on cases;
Takes the initiative to suggest alternative or new products;
Ensures that feedback that can improve customer service, pricing, etc. is shared with appropriate individuals;
Assists counter salespeople when necessary;
Notifies the Purchasing Coordinator of any inventory problems;
Ensures that his/her technical knowledge of the various product families is kept up to date;
May have to negotiate prices and other special conditions with customers and suppliers according to the criteria established by the Director;
All other related tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
Three (3) to five (5) years of industry experience preferable, or a combination of relevant professional training and experience;
Demonstrated people skills;
Excellent knowledge of French written and spoken;
Excellent communication and organizational skills;
Product knowledge;
Must be customer service driven and adaptable to change;
Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
