Heavy Equipment Operator/ Dozer Operator

Overview

As a Dozer Operator you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient operation of dozers to support various construction and earthmoving projects. Your primary responsibility will be to operate heavy equipment to manipulate earth, materials, and debris, ensuring tasks are completed according to project specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Operate bulldozers and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as grading, leveling, trenching, and excavation.

Follow project plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors to ensure work meets project requirements.

Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.

Maintain and service equipment regularly to ensure its longevity and efficiency.

Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring a safe work environment.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work activities and ensure efficiency.

Monitor and report equipment maintenance needs, repairs, and malfunctions to supervisors promptly.

Operate equipment in a manner that minimizes damage and reduces downtime.

Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.

Perform other duties as assigned to support construction operations and project deadlines.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a bulldozer operator or similar role in construction or earthmoving projects.

Proficiency in operating various models of bulldozers various heavy equipments

Ability to interpret and follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications.

Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks involving heavy equipment operation.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in heavy equipment operation is preferred.

Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays
