Duties
: Provide leadership and supervision to EEG technologists, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures. Schedule and coordinate staff assignments to ensure adequate coverage and efficient workflow. Oversee the quality assurance program for EEG testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results. Conduct regular staff meetings to review departmental goals, discuss issues, and foster a cohesive team environment. Oversee training and orientation of new EEG technologists, ensuring adherence to Hospital’s protocols and standards. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and infection control measures. Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Assign and check work Provide ongoing education and training to EEG technologists on new techniques, protocols, and equipment advancements. Perform in-patient and out-patient EEGs Maintain accurate records of tests performed Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies Collaborate with other team members to optimize use of available resources Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Harassment-Free Workplace policy Other duties as assigned Qualifications : Current certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (CBRET) required Undergraduate degree in Health Sciences, diploma in medical electrophysiology or a related field is required Minimum of 4 years of experience as an EEG Technologist, with demonstrated proficiency in conducting EEG tests and interpreting results. Current CPR certification Ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team Demonstrated effective decision making skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care skills and service excellence attitude is essential Strong organizational skills combined with effective problem solving abilities English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression.Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset. Salary Range: 44.66 to 56.30 per hour-
