Responsibilities:

Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing injection molding equipment and secondary support equipment. Independently troubleshoot injection molding issues Troubleshoot part removal, robotic machinery issues Troubleshoot label decorating and vision inspection equipment. Maintenance and repair of injection molding presses, take-out robots and downline decorators such as Hot Stampers, Hot Transfer Label, and fitment machines Preventative maintenance on all equipment Optimize Run Time / Minimize Downtime Responsible for coaching/mentoring/training maintenance technicians/apprentices Serves as a strong technical resource in the plant. Follow all Lock-out Tag-out procedures Work as a team with all levels of production staff

Educational Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience with Husky molding machines Experience with CMMS systems Strong hydraulics and electrical experience Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc. Ability to use precision measuring devices including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions Industrial Millwright preferred. Deferred if requirements met through Academic Pursuits or relevant work experience Progressive knowledge of electrical, electronic, PLC, applications, hydraulics, schematicsCompetencies: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form. 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. They employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is medium to loud.
