Job Description

WHAT’S THE JOB?

As the Environmental/Sustainability Specialist, reporting to the Denise Sampson, Accodunt Director, you will assist in various environmental initiatives. In this role, you are responsible for assisting in the implementation of programs, training, and the development of processes that will increase environmental performance. You will also support waste audits, compliance audits and chemical management projects as required.

Your work will include: · Manage waste audits, reporting results and analysis of the data to identify areas for improvement.

· Implement programs to increase capture and diversion rates for the site.

· Conduct environmental audits and reporting of results to the team.

· Perform chemical management audits and communicating corrective actions to site management for any issues identified.

· Assist in data collection related to emissions reduction and energy efficiency as required.

· Conduct training of client staff when required on environmental related topics.

· Work with the marketing and communications team to increase environmental awareness around the campus through program implementation.

· Provide support with the development of various environmental programs.

· Environmental and sustainability administrative tasks as required.

Working Conditions:

This role is a full-time position from May to August. The primary work location will be the [SITE LOCATION]. Some travel will be required to worksites.

Qualifications

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

· Undergraduate degree/certificate in environmental science, engineering, sustainability or equivalent

· Display organizational and analytical skills

· Proficient in MS Excel, Work, and PowerPoint

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.

· High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability.

· Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

· A valid driver’s license is required.
