Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Strategic Analytics specialist to join our Business Intelligence team. This role is critical for designing, implementing, and maintaining key analytics pipelines and outcomes for unlocking valuable insights in our business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics with experience supporting strategic initiatives, costing analyses, and predictive modeling. The candidate has excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, project management experience, and a core background building and testing hypotheses. Beyond data analytics, the candidate will work closely with the Senior Director to enhance business intelligence through managing our database systems, as well as building stored procedures to consolidate core data tables.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Analyze consolidated data to generate actionable insights that drive business decisions and with various departments to understand data requirements and provide analytical support. Strategic Costing Analysis and Predictive Modeling: Work closely with the Senior Director to unlock business intelligence through strategic costing analyses and predictive advanced analytical techniques to forecast trends and support business and manage healthcare KPIs including referral volumes, length of stay, cost per service, outcomes, and clinician productivity. Database Design, Implementation, and maintenance: Design, develop, and implement robust database systems tailored to meet the needs of our division and database systems are optimized for performance and and manage stored procedures to consolidate core data tables, enabling efficient data processing and data consolidation processes are accurate, efficient, and maintain the integrity of the regular maintenance of database systems to ensure data integrity and availability. Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with stakeholders across various business divisions to gather requirements, provide insights, and support data-driven decision- strong relationships to ensure effective communication and collaboration on data initiatives.

Analytics: Ability to structure and execute analyses with limited support from principals, maintains high quality standards even during high pressure situations, develops and applies rigor to analysis including quality review, source assessment, and alignment with hypothesis (i.e., avoiding rabbit holes), and summarizes information for discussion. Deck Construction: Compiles quantitative and qualitative insights into figures, charts, and tables with limited guidance and incorporates key insights into a concise narrative (i.e., vertical and horizontal logic) when presented with a mature storyboard. Presentation: Comfortably presents work to principals, clients, or other stakeholders in a mature and professionally appropriate manner. Ability to engage in dynamic discussions with the materials, incorporate feedback on the fly, and adjust to the audience. Self-Management: Actively engages principals with comprehensive progress reports in a timely fashion (i.e., upwards management). Owns work stream across all phases of deliverable development (hypothesis > research > analysis > deck > presentation) 

Qualifications:

> 3 years experience performing data analytics, ideally in a healthcare setting Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server). Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Tools (e.g., Warehouse, Lakehouse, OneLake, Synapse) Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools (Power BI) Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R. Knowledge of cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
