LotusFlare's clients include leading companies such as Verizon Wireless, Telenor, Ooredoo, Singtel, Maxis, Globe, LinkedIn, and Skype.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Project Manager, you are responsible for leading customer-facing projects to ensure that the “right” solution is designed, developed, tested, and deployed within customer expectations and that project goals and objectives are well-defined and achieved. In this role, you must have a strong technical project management background and also have excellent organization, problem-solving, and communications skills. You must have a solid understanding of project management fundamentals and be comfortable communicating with a diverse stakeholder group including senior leaders both verbally and in writing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that best practices and defined project management processes and standards are adhered to for assigned projects with respect to scoping and planning, issue management, risk management, change management, quality management, etc. Establish the project plan baseline by collaboratively defining and documenting the project scope including key milestones and dependencies. Determine and define clear deliverables as well as roles and responsibilities for all assigned project team members. Identify and secure the necessary resources needed to execute the project plan. Work with LotusFlare’s internal architect, engineering and design teams and externally with customer technical teams to ensure best practices are followed and optimal solutions are selected and developed. Drive project execution: track delivery, take ownership of change management, and proactively seek and resolve blockers. Assign and oversee the daily tasks of LotusFlare personnel assigned to the project while ensuring all team members are working toward established milestones. Conduct regular meetings to determine progress and address any challenges, issues, or questions regarding assigned projects. Prepare and provide periodic updates and status reports to different stakeholders, internal and external. Manage UAT and production releases, as well as project handover to our operational support teams. Be a part of a Global Delivery Team, share experiences and develop the PM discipline within LotusFlare with the aim to improve processes, methods and tools with creative ideas. Create and maintain project documentation. Work with the latest collaboration tools including Jira, Confluence, Trello, etc.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, System Information, Engineering, Business Administration, or any other relevant majors. 5+ years experience in Project Management in a technical and/or software development environment, preferably in the Telecommunications sector and with exposure to Product Engineering teams as well as BSS/OSS development and integration. Demonstrated deep understanding of foundational Project Management processes, strategies, tools, and methods. A solid foundation in service-oriented and digital technologies to be able to understand service inter-dependencies and technical solutions for multi-tiered systems. Comfort and experience with cross-organizational communication; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in delivering products against a plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, and often ambiguous environment. Experience working independently to design, plan, and execute technical projects. Able to distill data and articulate the rationale for making difficult trade-offs. Additional certifications, a valid PMP designation from the PMI and/or experience as a Scrum Master using the Agile methodology is an asset.
