Plant Maintenance Labourer

Tomlinson Ready Mix is seeking to hire a Plant Maintenance Labourer for our concrete plant in Vars, ON and Stittsville, ON.

This position will require working Monday – Friday from 7:00AM to 5:00PM. May be required to work night or weekend work.

DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES

Daily inspections and maintenance of the plant Physically demanding, involves labour work and lifting various objects Ability to operate various types of equipment, loader, skid steer, and man lift Ability to work at heights such as man lift, dust collector bags and being able to go to the top of the silo Must be able to work alone and be a self-motivator Basic understanding of electrical knowledge Perform snow removal in winter months

REQUIREMENTS

Experience working in a plant maintenance role is an asset Prior concrete experience is an asset Welding experience is an asset Bilingual is an asset Plumbing experience would be an asset Good understanding of the plant operations

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working in tight, awkward spaces – bending, crawling, twisting Working at heights – reaching, climbing Lifting objects up to approximately 50 pounds Required to use motor coordination with arms, hands, fingers, and legs Will be exposed to dirt, dust, odors, noise, and weather extremes May be required to work nights or weekends
