The opportunity:

The Night Cleaner/Heavy Duty Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the facility in ‘as new’ condition

by ensuring a high standard of deep cleaning and general maintenance.

In this role, you will:

Demonstrate strong support and commitment to serving the membership, facility users and all program participants of the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka. Maintain a high level of cleaning at all times as per YMCA protocols, and standards. Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of the equipment, products, procedures and standards involved in the ongoing deep cleaning of the facility. Respond to general maintenance requirements and other duties when assigned by Supervisor, Cleaning & Maintenance. Communicate all system malfunctions, mechanical deficiencies and service disruptions to the Supervisor, Cleaning and Maintenance or Duty Manager. Communicate effectively with day staff to ensure transfer of information necessary for effective facility operations. Maintain all Health and Safety requirements/qualifications, including but not limited to WHMIS, Employee Health and Safety, etc. Respond to the safety, service and security issues of members and participants in a respectful and courteous manner. Adherence to all provincial and federal legislation relevant to job description.
