Robert Half is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst for a company in the Winnipeg, Manitoba area. You will operationalize and cultivate data-driven planning processes and improve upon monthly and quarterly reporting. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will manage building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives, developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, and driving world class strategic and financial planning methods. You will supply revenues and expenses, variance analysis of bookings, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. This role will allow you to directly be involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. Key responsibilities


- Drive monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

- Oversee weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

- Performing full cycle accounting activities such as reconciliations and consolidations

- Cooperate with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization

- Engage with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

- Provide effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

- Consider performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

- Log monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

- The Senior Financial Analyst collaborates closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

- Master and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

- Assemble and watch forecasting reports

- Working on special projects as assigned


- Experienced with financial reporting tools

- Experienced with ERP systems

- Excellent presentation skills

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

- Actively pursuing a CPA designation

- 3+ years' experience with full cycle accounting, advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls is required

- Practical knowledge of consolidations

- Earlier work involving Fixed Asset Accounting

- Deep understanding of Budget Processes

- Wide ranging experience with Analyze Variance

- Proven knowledge of Full Cycle Accounting

- Well-founded grasp of Annual Inventory

- Command of Accounting Functions

- Expense Reporting experience preferred

- Strong familiarity with account reconciliation
