Job Summary:

Semtech Corporation is seeking a skilled and experienced Manager, Risk and Audit to join our Internal Audit team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the internal audit function, ensuring compliance with company policies, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing recommendations for improving internal controls and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute risk-based audit plans to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with policies and regulations, and the accuracy of financial reporting.

Lead and conduct internal audits across various business functions, including finance, operations, IT, and compliance.

Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.

Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans for management's review and follow-up.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations and monitor progress to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Stay abreast of regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging risks to continuously enhance the internal audit program.

Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development and ensuring the success of the internal audit function.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal auditing, risk management, or related field, preferably in a publicly traded company or Big 4 accounting firm.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is preferred.

Strong understanding of internal control concepts, risk assessment methodologies, and auditing standards (e.g., COSO, SOX).

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical solutions.

Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing audit engagements and mentoring junior staff.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
