As NAIT continues to expand andstrengthen its Applied Research initiatives, we are recruiting skilled andpassionate individuals to help shape and maintain best administrative practicesand become part of the team at Canada’s leading polytechnic. A candidate for this position should be amotivated and driven administrative professional with a high attention todetail, who enjoys maintaining a very organized work environment and have welldeveloped time management skills.

This position, reporting to the Lead ofthe Financial Admin Support Team (FAST), will play a crucial role in supportingfinancial activities within the FAST and Industry Solutions. Specifically, theselected candidate will work closely with the Research Financial Admin (RFA) tofacilitate financial and administrative tasks within the FAST. The successfulcandidate will be responsible for ensuring that financial administrativefunctions are carried out diligently and promptly, providing the Lead with ahigh level of confidence.

KeyResponsibilities:

Assist the RFA in maintaining accurateand up-to-date financial records for research grants and contracts. Aid in the preparation of budgeting andforecasting templates for research centers. Support audits and financial reviews ofresearch projects by compiling relevant supporting documents. Update dashboards to monitor projectbudgets and expenditures for research initiatives. Gather information for financialanalyses and projections related to research projects. Maintainconfidentiality and handle sensitive financial information discreetly. Assist the RFA andFinancial Coordinators (FC) on completing Accounts Receivable/ AccountsPayables tasks Prepare and enterjournal entries. Assist in updatingthe Research Admin Module (RAM) Database. Support the FASTin completing special projects. Perform othertasks as required.

Skills& Abilities:

Strong customer service focus, withexcellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing an AccountingDiploma or Accounting Degree (2nd year preferred). 1 year of related experience would beadvantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Wordis required, while Microsoft Power Apps skills would be an asset.

Applicants witheducation credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentialsevaluated by World Education Services or the International QualificationsAssessment Service (IQAS).
