General Laborer

Job Description

We’re seeking a motivated General Laborer to join our team. As a General Laborer, you’ll play a crucial role in various tasks, including:

  • Bundling and Tagging Rebar: Working on the production line in the outdoor yard, you’ll start by bundling rebar. When the rebar is cut, you’ll bundle and tag the orders, moving them down the line for pickup.
  • Machine Training: Once you’ve mastered bundling, we’ll train you on the cutting machine and the crane used to lift the bundles.
  • Basic Math Skills: You should be able to use a calculator to evenly divide rebar into bundles (e.g., if you have 60 bars and need to make 2 bundles).
  • Safety Consciousness: Adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Imperial Measurements: Ability to read measurements using a tape measure.
  • Metal Experience: Working experience with metals is an asset.
  • Rebar Production: Experience in other rebar production facilities is advantageous.
Mandatory Requirements
  • Physical Strength: Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs safely.
  • Outdoor Work: Must be willing to work outdoors year-round. Dress appropriately for the weather.

  • Steel-Toed Boots: Wear steel-toed boots and warm clothing.
  • Machine Operators: The machine operators who bend and cut rebar work in 3-sided shacks in the yard, exposed to the elements.
  • Dress for Weather: Work continues unless there’s lightning or freezing rain.
Shift Hours
  • Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Friday Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (early release at 3:00 PM).
