ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Analytics and Reporting Specialist is a member of HSO’s Data, Analytics & Methods team. The Data, Analytics & Methods team is responsible for conducting data analyses, supporting internal and external partners through the design and preparation of reports and informational products, while ensuring that all activities are evidence-based. We are a dynamic, cross-functional team comprised of analytics specialists and product managers who work closely with others to deliver value from the data that we collect.

Main Responsibilities:

Engage with internal and external contributors to compile analytics and reporting needs in an organized, structured format to identify value and opportunities for improvements. Work independently and within the team to clean, merge, and analyze data from a variety of data sets. Prepare data visualizations and reports which present engaging and actionable insights. Participate in regular team meetings, present findings, and propose innovative analytic ideas. Ensure that all processes and methods are documented in a standard fashion.

Must Have Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g. data science, statistics, public health, economics, or related field). Deep experience in merging, cleaning, and manipulating a variety of structured and unstructured data sets, and familiarity with extract, transfer, and load (ETL) concepts. Proficiency with a variety of analytic software/programming languages (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R, Python, or others). Proficiency with data visualization and reporting software (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, or others). Familiarity with statistics and an ability to apply various statistical methods, as appropriate. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desired Qualifications :

Familiarity with, and an understanding of health data and data sets. Knowledge of acceptable uses of artificial intelligence/machine learning using health data.
