Role impact:

Reporting to the Director, Delivery Enablement, the Project Delivery Manager will lead the evolution of the Data & Technology (D&T) Project Management Office (PMO) and mature the practice as part of the D&T Transformation journey. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex IT projects and delivering innovative products that meet market needs. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset to drive the development and execution of project and product methodologies/frameworks, processes, tools, and governance to support the successful delivery of data and technology solutions for the Business. 

The Project Delivery Manager will focus on building a best in-class PMO and defining delivery methodologies (waterfall & hybrid Agile) for various demand types and is responsible for ensuring that the performance of all D&T initiatives is tracked and reported appropriately including, but not limited to, delivery, quality and financial metrics. The candidate will drive improvements and streamline efficiencies, offering suggestions based on industry best practice and personal experience.

What you will deliver:

Supports the Director in evolving and maturing the PMO Centre of Excellence by executing and implementing D&T's delivery methodologies (waterfall & hybrid Agile) and tools to enable consistency of outcomes and flexibility to respond to business demand, while ensuring adherence to governance standards Provides functional leadership on adoption and application of best-fit methodology to enable desired outcomes. Leads and mentors a team of Project/Program and Product Managers, setting clear goalsand providing coaching based on PMI best practices, and ensuring standards are upheld. Oversees the full project lifecycle, from ideation and development through launch and post-launch, ensuring alignment with business goals and benefits realization. Establish and deliver mechanisms for tracking project progress (including but not limited to on time and on budget KPIs) and reporting to executive stakeholders. Leads and facilitates the monthly PMO forums providing industry best practices and latest emerging trends Leads and facilitates the bi-weekly D&T portfolio delivery update meetings with the executive team, bringing forward items at risks and decisions for alignment. Manage stakeholder communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables. Drives continuous improvement in project management practices, incorporating feedback and lessons learned into future projects. Ensure compliance with standards and company policies through project development processes. Support the implementation and adoption of a new Program & Project Management tool, Asana.

Strong organizational skills and communications skills – ability to clearly articulate business issues and recommend/synthesize solutions and present to executives. Self-starter, motivated by driving impact and results and ability to cope with a rapidly changing environment. Fosters a collaborative atmosphere which leverages innovation to combine theoretical knowledge and experience to develop best-practices. Strong facilitation skills Ability to develop and build strong working relationships at all D&T organizational levels. Ability to negotiate and effectively manage outsourced vendor and staff relationships. Proven, structured problem-solving and critical thinking expertise.

What you need to succeed:

University or College degree in Business, Commerce, Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or equivalent + years of relevant experience developing and managing Project Management Offices in medium to large organizations, and managing/leading multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment. years leadership and people management experience managing large teams and resources. PMP or PgMP certification is required PMI-ACP, CSM, or Change Management accreditation is an asset Familiarity with project management or collaboration software, such as Asana, Jira, Confluence, SmartSheet, Microsoft Project Plan
